Generation X – Defined
We are latch key kids. We drank from water hoses. We came home when the street lights came on (or after). We did not have cellphones. We knew what a “party line” was and everyone in the neighborhood knew what happened BEFORE you got home and tried to lie your way out of it. We didn’t wear helmets, elbow or knee pads. Many of our “toys” could kill us. The weakest among us were still tougher than most of the kids these days, because we all took a beating from time to time. We all had a beer before we were 16. Most of us could drive before we were 13. We’ve been chased by cops. We’ve been lost in the woods. We’ve spray painted something that didn’t need to be painted. In short, we would give Millennial parents a complete and total mental breakdown.
